Fintruck uses third-party data service providers, like Plaid, in order to connect you to your financial institutions with bank-grade security.

Our servers will never see or store ANY financial account credentials. We maintain a read-only access to your data and we fetch it on demand. We do not have the ability to move funds of any kind and we never access information without your permission.

The combination of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) help keep your personal information safe.

Unlike others, we also never sell your data. We are funded solely off of your subscriptions and support :).

Fintruck does not see, store, or make a copy of your financial account credentials. Even in the extremely unlikely event that our servers were breached, your credentials are entirely safe.

Our computing layer is built on top of Google Cloud. It leverages the most secure settings for its computing cluster, network, and storage.

All financial data is fetched live when a user session is on and it is only used in memory for calculation. On occasion, an ephemeral local cache could be employed to improve user experience. Lastly, a user's financial results could be optionally saved in a secure database for longer-term trend tracking.

Every user has their own individual space to handle their data connections as well as the computing logic application.

In Fintruck, you can create unlimited documents to organize, edit, and configure your financial insights. Every doc serves as a snapshot of the live data where it connects & refreshes when the user session is on.

Security & Privacy is our top priority. Using our systems guarantees the following:

Each individual space is not accessible by others without the owner’s access privilege.
No one can access a user’s space, including Fintruck employees unless the user requests us to look into it for account issue diagnosis.
When a user shares a doc as a template, they have choices to obfuscate their snapshot information to some random values.

Users have the right to close their Fintruck account at any time. All users’ account information, docs, and shared information will be removed permanently from our systems.

Lastly, we heavily vet any third-party services we use (like Plaid). We ensure any data connections are trusted, used by millions, and undergo rigorous security audits. Plaid, for example, is certified in internationally-recognized security standards, like ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and is SSAE18 SOC 2 compliant.

TLDR; Our first priority is security and privacy. We never see or store ANY account credentials. We also do not store or sell your personal financial data. Lastly, we maintain a read-only access to any info.

Does fintruck store my banking credentials?

Fintruck uses third-party financial account aggregator services - like Plaid - to connect to your bank and brokerage accounts. Your banking credentials are directly sent to the respective service from your browser. Fintruck servers will never see your credentials. Plaid provides a read-only interface; therefore Fintruck cannot make any transactions on your behalf.
